oqbo - Raum für Bild Wort Ton

We are approaching our fascination for an imaginary picture: hanging plants, artficially nourished and independent of environmental infuences. Using a camera, orchids, sound recordings and a jellylike fertile soil from the internet, we are left to an associative game that focuses on the communicative approach to each other through its aimlessness.

Transparent Paper, bone glue, Canvas, 4 Vibration Motors, artificial Fingernails, Steel Frame

The skin-like surface of the canvas is set in motion by 4 vibration motors, where the fingernails that were once worn create a constantly moving image. The friction of the fingernails on the surface and the rotation of the motors create a soundscape that gives the viewer a moment of nervousness and restlessness.

Glass Shelf, selfmade artificial Hymen (Methyl Cellulose, artificial Blood) made after a real Product, that is being sold in the Internet
11 x 60 cm

Detail VirginCare

Based on the real product "VirginiaCare", that I found in the Internet, my Work VirginCare is only a replica of this product, therefore it is not made to support the patriarchal construct of the hymen-myth, instead it allows a small insight with what kind of surpression women from particular backgrounds still have to deal with.

Video Still Mein Vater

In order to process anxiety and stress, my father lives in a castle of books. Easyly disorientated and frightened by the constantly growing towers around him, is everybody daring to cross his territory.

Skalpels, black Plate

Since my childhood I have been a nail biter. The further accumulation of disharmony and stress led me to a playful behaviour towards knifes and sharp gadgets, which also led me to the installation of a well-laid table with scalpels and a pitch black plate referring to my disorder.

In memories and dreams I find the inspiration for my paintings. There is a blurred line between my past and my nightmares. I tend to translate family photography within the painting into my own language.
